Mr. William Rodney Gardner, age 88, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Magnolia Estates Assisted Living.
Mr. Gardner was a member of the Church of Winder. He served the United States faithfully in the Marine Corp where he was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal. Throughout his professional career, he was an accomplished entrepreneur owning many businesses in the Beauty and Tanning industry. He retired as the owner and operator of Gardner’s Tanning Bed Repair. William will be remembered as a God-fearing man that was devoted to his faith. He had a humble spirit even after all his successes.
Mr. Gardner was preceded in death by his parents, John D. Gardner and Gladys E. Gardner; and a brother, Jack Gardner.
Mr. Gardner is survived by his children, Rodney (Tracie) Gardner of Bethlehem, Greg Gardner of Lebanon, Indiana, and Doug (Kelly) Gardner of Douglasville; ten grandchildren, Shaylee, Lynden, Kayla, Kristin, Eric, Amber, Brittany, Michael, Anthony, and Michelle; along with numerous great-grandchildren also survive.
A Celebration of Life reception will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Hostess House, 299 Cedar Creek Road Winder, Georgia.
A Graveside Service with military honors will be held at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at the Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive Canton, Georgia 30114.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting prayers and condolence cards during this difficult time.
