Warren Chandler, Sr.

Mr. William Warren Chandler, Sr., age 76 of Bogart, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017. Mr. Chandler was a native and lifelong resident of Athens, Georgia and was a son of the late Garnett Troy and Mattie Sue Carter Chandler. He was preceded by a son, William Warren "Bro" Chandler, Jr., a brother, Wiley and sister Linda. He was retired from The Athens Fire Department with the rank of captain and was a licensed Funeral Director. Mr. Chandler was Founder and President of Master Grave Service, Inc., and Athens Marble and Granite Company.

Surviving are Wife, Jeanette Lyles Chandler of Bogart, Daughter and Son-in-law, Linda and Steve Meeler of Statham, Son, Walter Chandler of Bogart, Daughter-in-law, Shannon Chandler of Bogart, Granddaughters, Amberly and Mattie Chandler of Bogart, Grandson, William Warren Chandler, III of Bogart, Brother, Wayne Chandler of Bogart, Brother and Sister-in-law, Wesley and Lillian Chandler of Danielsville, Sister and Brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Bennie Barrett of Athens, Several Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.

The Family will receive friends Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 7:00 P. M. until 9:00 P. M. at Carter Funeral Home in Winder. A Graveside service will be held Sunday, August 27, 2017 at 2:00 P. M. at Oconee Hill Cemetery in Athens with Rev. Larry Davison officiating.
