. Truman "Bill" Phillips

Mr. Truman "Bill" Phillips, age 72, of Carl, Georgia passed away October 17, 2017 surrounded by his family. A Gwinnett County Native, he was a son of the late William P. and Willie Hester Phillips. He was preceded by siblings Vivian (Jerry) Walls, Duane Phillips, Faron "Fuzzy" Phillips and Jack Phillips. Mr. Phillips was employed with Walton Electric Membership Corporation as an electrical engineer, retiring in 2002. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Carl and was a U. S. Army Veteran.

Surviving are Wife, Pat Samples Phillips of Carl, Georgia, Children, Steve (Shelia) Phillips of Auburn, Georgia, Greg Phillips of Carl, Georgia and Melissa (Tony) Stinnett of Grovetown, Georgia, Five Grandchildren, Siblings, Raymond (Sally) Phillips of Dalton, Georgia, Ruth Ramey of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Matrie (Roy) Rowe of Dacula, Georgia, Ruby (Felton) Fulcher of Monroe, Georgia, Jerry (Charlene) Phillips of Grayson, Georgia, Ronnie Phillips and Donnie Phillips both of Winder, Georgia, Marty (Jackie) Phillips of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Sisters-in-law, Gail Phillips of Commerce, Georgia, Cindy Phillips of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Betty Phillips of Dacula, Georgia.

The Family will receive friends Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 5:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 2:30 P. M. from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Hamm officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at The Carl Cemetery. Flowers are welcomed or memorials may be made to The First Baptist Church of Carl, Georgia.
