Thomas Carl Kretschmar Sr.

Mr. Thomas Carl Kretschmar, Sr., age 68, of Bethlehem, Georgia passed away July 15, 2020 at his residence. He was born August 17, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Kenneth and Alline Lampson Kretschmar. His wife, Susan Dale Gibby Kretschmar passed away April 11, 2018. A resident of Bethlehem for the past several years, he was a retired Captain with the DeKalb County, Georgia Fire Department. Mr. Kretschmar was a Veteran of the United States Army.

Surviving are Children, Tom Kretschmar, Jr. of Bethlehem, Georgia, Joe Kretschmar of Knoxville, Tennessee and Kenneth (Angie) Kretschmar of Jasper, Georgia, Nieces raised in the home, Lorraine Thrower of New Hope, Georgia and Annie Gibby of Toccoa, Georgia, Grandchildren, J. B. Kretschmar, Dalton Kretschmar and Rachel Kretschmar, Sisters, Sharon Young of Jasper, Georgia, Sandy Kretschmar and Kim Sowell both of St. Louis, Missouri, and a host of Nieces and Nephews.

There will be a family viewing on Friday, July 17, 2020 from 11:00 A. M until 1:00 P. M. at the funeral home. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, July 17, 2020 at 2:00 P. M. at Barrow Memorial Gardens. Flowers are welcomed, or Memorials may be made to The Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation, 2575 Chantilly Drive, Atlanta, Georgia 30324.
