Sgt. First Class, Retired, Terry L. Baumgardner

Sgt. First Class, retired, Terry L. Baumgardner, age 67, of Winder, Georgia passed away September 17, 2022 at his home. A native of Elizabethton, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Earle and Myrtle Carver Baumgardner. He was preceded in death by siblings, Benjamin Edward Baumgardner, Clarence Leon Baumgardner and Jackie Joe Baumgardner. A former resident of Cleveland, Georgia, he had served in the U. S. Navy and retired from the United States Army. He was a member of The Purpose Church in Jefferson, Georgia. Mr. Baumgardner was Truck Driver with Chaser Transportation Company.

Surviving are Wife, Joyce Sanders Baumgardner of Winder, Georgia, Children, Terry Wayne Baumgardner, Sr. of Braselton, Georgia, Stacy Louise (Matthew) Weichel of Fairbury, Nebraska, Joshua Lee (Sherry) Baumgardner of Winder, Georgia and Janet Leigh (David) Frazier of Blue Ridge, Georgia, Fourteen Grandchildren, Siblings, Ina Mae Baumgardner of Elizabethton, Tennessee, Winna Kaye Potter of Hampton, Tennessee, Margaret Loretta Edmondson, of Gulf Shores, Alabama , Katheryn Louise Oliver of Elizabethton, Tennessee and Lois Faye Potter

The Family will receive friends Monday, September 19, from 4:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. at Carter Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 20, at 11:00 A. M. from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Christian Baptist Church Cemetery, Gainesville, Georgia with Military Honors.
