Mrs. Sharon Cole Clendening, age 70, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at her residence.
Mrs. Clendening was a dedicated homemaker throughout her life. She loved being outside, spending time in her lawn swing, and bird watching. Sharon will be best remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Clendening was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, David Marshall Clendening; daughter, Sharon Ann Clendening; mother, Harriet Rose Cole; and sister, Marie Landers.
Mrs. Clendening is survived by her children, Shelby (Doug) Crider of Winder; son, David (Marry) Clendening of Loganville; siblings, John Cole of Stockbridge, Gloria Washington of Buford, and Tina Harris of Eatonton; six grandchildren, Devin O’Neal, Dylan Crider, Kiersten O’Neal, Kyle Crider, Kylie Clendening, and Micah Clendening; and one great-grandson, Hayes David Procter.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Gueary Clendening officiating. Burial will follow the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home.
