Mr. Rickie Turk, age 64, of Winder, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at his residence.
Mr. Turk served for forty years as the Chief Machine Operator for Johns Manville. He was an avid outdoorsman; Rickie enjoyed going to hunt, fish, and camp. He also was a guitar enthusiast and a talented singer. Rickie will be remembered by his family as a loving son, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Turk is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Turk and brother, Danny Turk.
Mr. Turk is survived by his loving mother, Carol Turk of Winder; children, Sandy Thomason of Winder, Dustin (Valarie) Turk of Bethlehem, and Trevor (Jessica) Turk of Watkinsville; sister and brother-in-law, Deborah (Michael) Brewer of Danielsville; and five grandchildren, Anna Thomason, Krista Thomason, Jarred Thomason, Tyler Turk, and Taylor Turk.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Shadburn officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the service hour at Carter Funeral Home.
