Mrs. Molly Etheridge Huff

Mrs. Molly Etheridge Huff, age 72, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2025, surrounded by her family, at her residence.

A native of Winder, Georgia, Molly was the Salutatorian of Winder High School’s Class of 1970. She attended Georgia College and State University and then graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia. Molly worked as a pediatric nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida, then returned to Winder to work alongside her husband, Dr. Garey H. Huff Sr., at Family Health Associates of Winder where she served as the nurse and office manager for the practice. Mrs. Huff later became a patient care manager for Northeast Georgia Physicians Group until her retirement in 2018. Molly was a member of Rockwell Universalist Church.

Mrs. Huff was admired not only for her professional accomplishments but also for her warm and loving spirit. As a devoted homemaker, she raised four children while creating a home filled with laughter and love. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her family, making her a pillar in the lives of friends and the community alike.

She enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends, making memories that would last a lifetime. Always eager for adventure, she cherished her travels, particularly those with her family and her church travel club. Additionally, her passions included gardening, horseback riding, and even scuba diving.

Mrs. Huff was preceded in death by her parents; Dr. Edwin H. Etheridge and Louise Hill Etheridge.

She is survived by her devoted husband of fifty-two years, Dr. Garey H. Huff Sr. of Winder; children, Dr. Garey H. (Dr. Audrey C.) Huff Jr. of Winder, Amy M. Huff of Winder, John P. M. (Lydia) Huff of Winder, and Catherine H. (Morgan) Wallace of Winder; five grandchildren, Thomas G. Huff, Molly E. Huff, Palmer M. Huff, John Wyatt H. Huff, and Harvey J. M. Huff all of Winder; and, siblings, Edwin "Skeeter" (Tammy) Etheridge of Winder, Julia (Mike) Duane of Toccoa, James "Jimmy" (Beth) Etheridge of Social Circle, and Harriet "Happy" (David) Maynard of Winder. 

A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Mrs. Molly Huff will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 in the Chapel of Maddox-Carter Memorial Home with Rev. Kim Miner officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Maddox-Carter Memorial Home.

The family respectfully request, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Rockwell Universalist Church at 295 Holsenbeck School Road Winder, Georgia 30680.
