Mrs. Adoline Hollis

Mrs. Adoline Hollis, age 83, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Hollis was born in Russia on April 22, 1941. Adoline came to the United States on April 26, 1952. She spent numerous years living in Buffalo Grove, Illinois before moving to Winder in 2005. Adoline was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Athens.

Mrs. Hollis was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Gust; father and step-mother, Otto and Anna Gust; brother, Ewald Gust; brother-in-law, Gary Johnson; and nephew, Scott Johnson. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Spencer Hollis; daughter, Kathy Rollason; son, Jeff (Agnes) Hollis; sister, Alma Johnson; five grandchildren, Kris (Amanda) Rollason, Tyler (Courtney) Rollason, Courtney Johnson, Dalton Hollis, and Delaney Hollis; one great-grandchild, Clelia Rollason; along with several nieces and nephews. 

The funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Athens, Georgia with Pastor Tim Davis officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 10:30 AM until 11:45 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church.

The family respectfully request in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Trinity Lutheran Church at 2535 Jefferson Rd, Athens, GA 30607.
