Michelle Ann Hockaday, 72, of Winder, passed away on August 23, 2021. She was born on March 16, 1949 in Summit, NJ to parents Carl F. and Nicolena M. Tuscano.
Michelle is survived by her husband, William (Bill) H. Hockaday, Sr.; sons, William H. Hockaday Jr. (Gina), Carl R. Hockaday (Lisa) and Gregg A. Hockaday (Rebecca); brothers, Carl Tuscano, Jr. and Robert Tuscano; sisters, Carla Spears, Deborah Davis, Sheryl Montesano, Karen Hamm, Sandra Eiland and Beverly Burgess; grandsons, Blake, Logan and Grayson Hockaday.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Pamela Jefferson. Michelle enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, and playing Bunco with friends. She planned and hosted the most fun Christmas Eve gatherings each year for her family, complete with games and prizes. She was a proud Nana who rarely missed any of her grandsons’ baseball, basketball or football games. The legacy Michelle leaves with her family is rich in great conversations, laughter, and most of all, love of family.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, with a memorial service at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Carter Funeral Home.
