Mrs. Mary Jean Wells Fowler, age 86, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Mulberry Grove Assisted Living.
Mrs. Fowler retired from Georgia Tech with the Athletic Association with over 30 years of dedictaed service. She was a member of Pattillo United Methodist Church in Decatur.
Mrs. Fowler was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wyatt Fowler; and parents, Carl Wells and Mildred Lindsay Wells.
Mrs. Fowler is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Beverly Fowler of Winder; four grandchildren, Lindsay and Trevor Fowler, and Nirvani and Hardeo Lachhman; and one great-grandchild, Gavin Grider.
The funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Fowler will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Wright officiating. Burial will follow the service at Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Tucker, Ga. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home.
The family of Mrs. Fowler respectfully request in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
