Mary Sanders Highfield

Mrs. Mary Sanders Highfield, age 72, of Winder, Georgia went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 21, 2017. Mary was born, May 22, 1945 in Commerce, Georgia to the late Arthur and Mamie Turpin Sanders. She was preceded by a Brother, J. T. Sanders. Mary had resided in Barrow County since 1984 and was a member of Whistleville Christian Church. She was a former owner of Badcock Furniture of Winder.

Surviving are Husband, Cecil Highfield of Winder, Georgia, Children, Keith (Stephanie) Highfield of Dacula, and Teresa Highfield (Ronnie) Wood of Athens, Georgia, Grandchildren, Ansleigh Shea Garrett, Kaitlyn Wood, Heather Hicks, Drew Highfield and Brett Highfield, Great Grandchildren, Lana Stallings and Eislee Hicks Brothers and Sisters, Bill Sanders of Maysville, Georgia, Mildred Garrison of Commerce, James Sanders of Pendergrass, Georgia, Betty Lee of Maysville, Georgia, and Hazel Landrum of Crawford, Georgia.

The Family will receive friends Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 2:00 P. M. from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Ray F. Fumea and Ray K. Fumea officiating. Interment will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
