Dr. M. Brian Swafford, age 49, of Auburn, (Carl Community) Georgia went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on February 18, 2021. Dr. Swafford was born January 11, 1972 in Duluth, Georgia. He was the current Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Auburn and had pastored churches in South Carolina and Virginia. Dr. Swafford preached the Gospel for 36 years and loved pastoring. He received his bachelor’s degree from Tabernacle Baptist College of Greenville, South Carolina and his doctorate degree from Calvary Baptist Seminary of Eufaula, Oklahoma.
Surviving are Wife, Heidi Smith Swafford of Auburn, Georgia, Children, Joshua Brian and Paige Swafford of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Sarah and Thomas Secrest of Seaford, Delaware and Bethany Swafford (Fiancé Rick Cole) of Auburn, Georgia, Parents, Arthur and Sandra Swafford of Jefferson, Georgia, Siblings, Melissa and Robby Youngblood of Auburn, Georgia, Mike and Noel Swafford of Jefferson, Georgia, Doug and Jennifer Swafford of Hoschton, Georgia and many beloved Nieces and Nephews.
The Family will receive friends Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 12 Noon until 2:00 P. M. at Calvary Baptist Church, 1080 Atlanta Highway, Auburn, Georgia 30011. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 P. M. at the Church with Rev. Larry Youngblood, Rev. Clay Collins, Mr. Luke Swafford and Rev. Doug Swafford officiating. Interment will be at Barrow Memorial Gardens with Rev. Don Jackson officiating. Honored as pallbearers will be Ben Swafford, Luke Swafford, Avery Swafford, Mark Youngblood, Paul Youngblood and Jon Tomlin.
