Mrs. Lois Deen Evans, age 82, of Bethlehem, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024.
Mrs. Evans was a faithful Deaconess in the Church where she served in the food ministry. She worked for many of the sewing plants in Winder throughout her life including Barrow Manufacturing, R and R Manufacturing and Cherokee Manufacturing. She retired as a seamstress with Carwood Manufacturing Plant. She loved listening to Elvis music and enjoyed animals. Mrs. Evans will be remembered best as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Mrs. Evans is survived by her husband of twenty-five years, Butch Evans; children, Donald Ruark, Kimberly Ruark, Tammy Reece, and Christel Adams; ten grandchildren, Ryan, Bubba, Jason, Nick, Casey, Harley, Trinity, Chasity, Booter, and Hayden; fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 31, 2024 in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Price and Pastor Johnny Hicks officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rose Hill Cemetery in Winder.
The family will be receiving friends on Friday from 12:00 PM until the service hour at Carter Funeral Home.
