Mrs. Julia Rooks Duncan, age 88, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
Mrs. Duncan was a resident of Barrow County all of her life and was a dedicated member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Dacula. She retired as a supervisor at the R and R Manufacturing Plant.
Mrs. Duncan was preceded in death by her husband, Theo Duncan; daughter, Brenda Duncan Jones; brothers, Rudolph Rooks and Randall Rooks; and son-in-law, Joey Jones.
Mrs. Duncan is survived by her sons, John Keith (Julie) Duncan of Conyers and Mark (Janice) Duncan of Auburn; sister, Joyce Allen of Covington; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Dacula, with Chaplain Eric Buffington officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home.
The family respectfully request, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
