Mr. John Allen Martin, age 93, of Monroe, Georgia passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023. A native of Statham, Georgia, he was a son of the late Harold Statham Martin and the late Cora Myrtle McDonald Martin. Mr. Martin was preceded by his wife of 60 years, Clara Willard Martin, his daughter, Phyllis Martin Gunter and his granddaughter, Brandy Nicole Martin. Mr. Martin served MARTA for 30 years as a driver and also did upholstery.
Surviving are son, Rick Martin, daughter, Janie Martin, grandchildren, Michael Martin, Tabatha Savage, Adam Martin and Chassey Valentine, and several great and great-great grandchildren.
The Family will receive friends Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 12 Noon until 2:00 P. M. at Carter Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held Sunday at 2:30 P. M. at Rose Hill Cemetery.
