Janie Lee Passmore, age 80, of Decatur, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at The Landing of Winder.
Janie Lee Passmore was born September 14, 1943 in Sacramento, California to Marian A. Haliwell and James E. Passmore, Jr. She graduated from Columbus High School and then Huntington College. Shortly after her graduation she obtained her CPA.
Janie was employed by Ernst and Ernst Accounting, the Columbus Medical Center before forming her own accounting business. She retired from Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.She is a long time resident of Decatur, GA residing there for over forty years. She loved the many cats she adopted over those years.
Janie leaves sisters Nina Lamson (Philip) and Mary Kemp (Bruce), nieces Marian Lamson Bari and Allison Kemp, nephew Thomas Passmore Lamson, and her beloved friend and companion Barbara Gulledge.
No services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the DeKalb County Humane Society.
