Mr. James “Jimmy” Hendrix, age 75, of Winder, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022.
Mr. Hendrix retired from Johns Manville after 25 years of dedicated service as a supervisor and an industrial engineer. He loved hunting, fishing, being with his family, and working in his shop.
Mr. Hendrix is preceded in death by his parents; Clarence Hendrix and Lois McElhannon Hendrix; and siblings, Annie Mae McManus, Frances Ballnak, Lois Dean Queen, Roy C. Hendrix, Carolyn Hendrix, and Robert Hendrix.
Mr. Hendrix is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Martha Hendrix of Winder; daughter, Sonya Smith of Dacula; brother-in-law, James Donald Thornton; and a host of extended family and friends also survive.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Head officiating. Burial will follow the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens in Winder. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 12:00 PM until the service hour at Carter Funeral Home.
