Henry Wallace

January 25, 1935 — December 14, 2024

Mr. Henry Wallace, age 89, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 14, 2024.

Mr. Wallace was a native of Bethlehem, Georgia. He was a member of Union Baptist Church and retired as a supervisor from Empire Manufacturing Plant. Henry loved country music and going to Nashville, Tennessee to the Grand Ole Opry. He also enjoyed being a farmer on his cattle and chicken farm.

Mr. Wallace was preceded in death by his wife; Dot Hammond Wallace; daughter, Sheila Wood Peppers; parents, Ezra Lee Wallace and Arline Mae Wallace; and siblings, G.W. Wallace, Otis Wallace, Willie Sue Wilson, Essie Lou McCullers, Reba Boyd, and Betty Ruth Sims.

Mr. Wallace is survived by his son; Wayne Wood of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Grant (Hannah) Peppers, Keith Wood, and Kenon Wood; and great-grandchildren, Avery Claire Peppers, Amberlea Peppers, and Kolton Wood.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 16, 2024 at Barrow Memorial Gardens with Rev. Terry Shelnutt officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, December 16, 2024 from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the graveside service at Carter Funeral Home.

The family respectfully request, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Union Baptist Church, 534 Rockwell Church Rd NE, Winder, GA 30680.
