Mrs. Helen I. Jenkins, age 86, of Winder, Georgia went to be with Jesus February 16, 2018. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Ed and Lizzie Sorrells Bowles. Mrs. Jenkins was preceded by Her Husband, Mr. Richard D. Jenkins in 2003. She had resided in Barrow County for most of her life, was of the Baptist Faith and was a homemaker.
Surviving are Children, Brenda Brown of Winder, Donny Jenkins of Auburn, Rodney Jenkins and Tina Friel both of Winder, and Melissa Montgomery of Statham, Seven Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren.
The Family will receive friends Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 5:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. at Carter Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 2:00 P. M. from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Cole officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
