Mr. Harold Dean Cowart, Sr., age 66, of Winder, Georgia passed away June 2, 2016. A native of Adairsville, Georgia, he was a son of the late C. M. and Clellie Mae Wilson Cowart. Mr. Cowart was a Maintenance Engineer with Trinity Rail. He was a member of Jefferson Lighthouse Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Surviving are Wife of forty-four years, Ellen Cowart of Winder, Children, Nichole Cowart Thomason of Oakwood, Harold Dean Cowart, Jr., and wife Rachel of Carrollton, Amanda Chadwick and husband, Tim of Ellijay, Siblings and In-laws, Albert Cowart of Winder, Johnny Cowart and Ronnie Cowart both of Loganville, Marvin and Tina Cowart of Lawrenceville, Joe Cowart of Loganville, Donnie Mae & Oliver Craig of Madison, Linda Pilgrim of Walnut Grove, Mary and Bill Shirley of Cumming, and Susan and Randy Poss of Abbeville, Step Brother, Roy Wilson, Nine Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 2:00 P. M. from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Whitman, Mr. Harold Dean Cowart, Jr. and Rev. Tim Chadwick officiating. The Family will receive friends Saturday from 5-8 P. M. at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
