Mrs. Geneva Mangum Hayes, age 86, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024.
Mrs. Hayes was a dedicated member of Mulberry Baptist Church. She retired as a seamstress where she worked at many of the sewing plants in Winder throughout the years.
Mrs. Hayes was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Ollie V. Hayes; parents, Clyde and Margaret Mangum; four siblings; and a grandson, Kevin Caldwell.
Mrs. Hayes is survived by her son, Mike (Jill) Little of Bowman; step-sons, Roger (Gail) Hayes of Buford and Rodney (Candie) Hayes of Bogart; five grandchildren, Ashley (Leon) Stelling, Amanda Little (Joseph Reese), Brandon Caldwell, Andrew Stoops, and Lucy Hayes; and nineteen great-grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. John Burchfield officiating. Burial will follow the service at Mulberry Baptist Church. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
