Gaynell Bentley

Mrs. Gaynell Bentley, age 90, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

Mrs. Bentley was a lifelong member of The First Christian Church of Winder where she was part of the Women's Fellowship. She retired from Barrow Manufacturing as a seamstress. Gaynell will be best remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.

Mrs. Bentley was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Bentley Sr.; parents, Thomas Asbury Casper and Laura Kizzar Thomas Casper; and siblings, Myrtle Lee Noggles, Winnie Allison, Virgil Casper, Bobby Casper, Doris Hunter, Linda Smith, Harvey Casper, and Clinnie Casper.

Mrs. Bentley is survived by her son, Joe (Joy) Bentley Jr. of Maysville; daughter, Judy Bentley Taylor of Moorsboro, NC; four grandchildren, Kristen Bentley Jackson, James, Daniel, and Dannette Taylor; and fifteen great-grandchildren also survive.

The funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Gaynell Bentley will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 4, 2023 at The First Christian Church of Winder with Rev. Alan Cloar officiating. Burial will follow the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home.
