Mrs. Eunice Radford Twitty, age 84, of Hoschton, formerly of Blue Ridge, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 11, 2024, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Twitty was a longtime member of Sharon Baptist Church. She loved Jesus and made her relationship with him an integral part of who she was as a person. She was the definition of a devoted wife. After marrying on her 18th birthday in 1957, Eunice and Thomas shared a long, beautiful and blessed life together until Thomas's passing in July 2022, 4 months before their 65th anniversary. Eunice was also a passionate mother and grandmother, cultivating a beautiful home for her family through her many talents as a gardener, seamstress, and cook. She will be remembered as a kind, caring, joyful soul and will be missed dearly by her family.
Mrs. Twitty was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Twitty; parents, Elbert Lewis Radford and Nylic Rowe Radford; siblings, Bob Radford, Zadie Hall, Arthur Radford, Cindy Naterman, and Mary Dixon; grandson, Corey Martin; and son-in-law, Michael Bland.
Mrs. Twitty is survived by her children; Brenda Twitty of Dahlonega, George (Susan) Twitty of Hoschton, John (Maria) Twitty of Winder, and Daniel Twitty of Blue Ridge; siblings, Richard Radford, Teresa Brooks, Manola Turner, Retta Radford, Aleta Womack, David Radford, Ronald Radford, and Elaine Radford; grandchildren, Wesley Martin, Keri McDaniel, Megan Pratt, William, Miranda, Michael, Jay, Rebecca, Madison, Micah, and Isabelle Twitty; and great grandchildren, Sarah Martin, Liam Twitty-Day, Charlotte Pratt, Graham Twitty-Day, and Allister Ward McDaniel; along with numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 16, 2024 in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home.
