Dorothy Evelyn Jones

Mrs. Dorothy Evelyn Jones age 83, of Winder, Georgia passed away July 20, 2018. Mrs. Jones was Daughter of the late James Andrew and Cora Maynard Thompson, Sr., she was preceded by her husband Jay Harold Jones, a son Harold Jones, a daughter Teresa Jones, a sister Hazel McClure, brother J.A. Thompson. A homemaker, Mrs. Jones was a member of Turning Point Baptist Church, Winder.

She is survived by Daughter and Son-in-law, Pam and Chuck Ethridge of Monroe, Sons and Daughters-in-law, Ronald and Elizabeth Jones of Commerce, G.W. Jones of Winder, Lamar and Becky Jones of Monroe, Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Helen Parks of Hoschton, Shirley & Quinton Thompson of Lawrenceville, Cindy and Dwight O’Guin of Hoschton, Shirley Thompson of Auburn. Eleven Grandchildren, Twenty-five Great Grandchildren, and Three Great Great Grandchildren.

The Family will receive friends Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 4:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, July 22, 2018 at 3:00 P. M. from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Calvert and Rev. Kevin Page officiating. Interment will be in Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery, Lawrenceville.
