Ms. Dolores Johnston Brooks, age 79, of Winder, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023.
Ms. Brooks was a devoted animal lover and she thoroughly enjoyed reading. It is believed that Ms. Brooks read enough books throughout her lifetime that could have filled an entire library. Ms. Brooks was the Class of 1961 Homecoming Queen of Wilmont High School of Wilmont, Wisconsin.
Ms. Brooks is preceded in death by her parents; Wilburt Johnston and Viola Conwill Johnston; and siblings, Billy, Charles, and Harold Johnston, and Patsy Hume.
Ms. Brooks is survived by her children, Greg (Terri) Brooks, Barbara Prettel, and Mike (Lorrie) Brooks; sister, Virginia Gross; grandchildren, Stuart Prettel II and Brandon Brooks; and two great-grandchildren also survive.
Per the request of the family, no services will be held.
