Ms. Diane Louise Hathaway, age 83, of Dacula, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at the Landing of Winder.
Ms. Hathaway was a devoted member of Dacula United Methodist Church. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service as an executive secretary.
Ms. Hathaway was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Gladwinn Jacobs and Mary Jean Palaskie Jacobs; and her sister, Barbara Hopkins.
Ms. Hathaway is survived by her children, Michelle Brennan of Winder and Kristi (Travis) Dixon of Good Hope; brother, Robert Jacobs; five grandchildren, Ryan Brennan, Austin Brennan, Brittany Bujorian, Megan Magnuson, and Chase Dixon; and five great-grandchildren, R.J. Brennan, Ellie Magnuson, Jace Magnuson, Brooks Magnuson, and Madeline Bujorian.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Barrow Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jon Williams officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service at Carter Funeral Home.
The family respectfully request in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org
