Mrs. Courtney Lynn Russell Maloof, age 32, of Winder, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023 at her residence.
Mrs. Maloof was a 2008 graduate of Milton High School. She furthered her education at SUNY Plattsburgh in New York where she received her Bachelors of Education degree in 2012. Mrs. Maloof was currently a fourth-grade teacher at Camp Creek Elementary School in Lawrenceville where she loved her students dearly and cared about each student's education. Courtney was a Harry Potter enthusiast, enjoyed entertaining her friends and family, and playing video games with her husband, Ryan. She is best described by those that loved her most as caring, fun-loving, generous, and kind to all.
Mrs. Maloof is survived by her loving husband, Ryan Maloof of Winder, Georgia; parents, Mark and Lisa Russell of Milton, Vermont; father-in-law, Christopher Dean and his wife, Patti Maloof of Grayson, Georgia; mother-in-law, Theresa Fennell of Bluffton, South Carolina; brother-in-law, Charles Gregory Maloof of Winder, Georgia; sister-in-law, Samantha Araya of Bluffton, South Carolina; her beloved furry companions, Andy and Gizmo; and a host of extended family and friends also survive.
A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 6:30 PM at Mountain Park United Methodist Church, 1405 Rockbridge Road Southwest Stone Mountain, Georgia 30087.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 42 Centre Dr, Milton, VT 05468
