Mr. Charles Larry Manders, age 84, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2024.
Mr. Manders served the United States faithfully in the Air Force. After his service, he was a contractor that built numerous homes in the Barrow County area until his retirement. Mr. Manders will be remembered best as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Mr. Manders was preceded in death by his parents; Jessie Lee Manders and Alma Deaton Manders; siblings, Aaron Manders and Eugene Manders; and grandson, Nathan Adam Manders.
Mr. Manders is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Mary Jane Manders of Winder; children, Nathan Manders and Lynn Crowe both of Winder; sister, Joan Manders Ellington of Winder; grandchildren, Michael (Casey) Crowe, Ashley Crowe, and Hailey Manders; and five great-grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 30, 2024 in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Dr. Derrell Clark officiating. Burial with Air Force honors will follow the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the service hour at Carter Funeral Home.
