Mrs. Carolyn Clark Carter, age 93, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at her residence.
Mrs. Carter was a devoted member of Stoney Creek Methodist Worship Center, formerly, New Pentecost United Methodist Church. She retired from Winder-Barrow High School then continued to work for Will-A-Way at Fort Yargo State Park where she loved taking care of the children.
Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Martin Carter; parents, Claude Clark and Lenora Vaughn Clark; and siblings, Opal Lyle Russell, Myrtle Lyle, and John Franklin Clark.
Mrs. Carter is survived by her children, Patricia Carter of Winder and David Carter of Statham; and one grandchild, Kristin (Michael) Anderson.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Stoney Creek Methodist Worship Center with Rev. James Mooneyhan officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 12:00 PM until the service hour at the church.
The family respectfully request, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Stoney Creek Methodist Worship Center at 385 Pleasant Hill Church Rd NE Winder, Georgia 30680.
