Mrs. Betty Thompson Fricks, age 84, of Statham, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at her residence with her loving daughter Donna, and loving granddaughters, Ashley and Leslie by her side.
Mrs. Fricks was a member of War Hill Pentecostal Church and was a dedicated homemaker, mother, and grandmother throughout her life.
Ms. Fricks is preceded in death by her husband, Lester Fricks; son, Larry Goforth; parents, Willie Lee Thompson and Ruth Gilbert Thompson; brother, Hubert Ward; and sister, Mildred Kirkland.
Mrs. Fricks is survived by her children, Gary Fricks of Statham, and Donna Hinson of Statham; stepchildren, Debbie Henson of Bethlehem and Billy Fricks of Sandy Cross; siblings, Jerry Thompson of Auburn, and Walter Ward of Bethlehem; nine grandchildren; and a host of extended family also survives.
The funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Fricks will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Hicks officiating. Burial will follow the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends on Friday from 12:00 PM until the service hour at Carter Funeral Home.
