Mrs. Atsufoe Selom Agbenou, age 48, of Bethlehem, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024.
Mrs. Agbenou was born in Danyi Elavanyo, Togo to the late Dr. Koffi Enyonam Agbekponou Tsogbe and Afi Dayovo Adalafe. As a child that was from an impoverished African village, she faced unprecedented challenges and hardships. Atsufoe came to the United States to achieve the American dream of endless opportunity and the pursuit of happiness. She was blessed to raise her two children with a man of God, and together, they achieved the unbelievable. Atsufoe had an unwavering faith and was a devoted prayer warrior for her family and friends.
Mrs. Agbenou is survived by her beloved husband of twenty-four years, Ekue Agbenou of Bethlehem; children, Joshua Foly Agbenou and Julianna Kirsten Agbenou both of Bethlehem; siblings, Kodjo Tsogbe (Pricilla Sandridge) of Lawrenceville, Linda Tsogbe (Donta Massey) of Charlotte, NC, Deborah Tsogbe of MA, and Francisco Tsogbe of Lawrenceville; aunt, Philo Tsogbe of MD; and special friends, Howard and Dale Sauls of Winder; and stepmother, Afi Mawuse Abiarou Tsogbe.
The funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Atsufoe Agbenou will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 26, 2024 in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Pennington officiating. Burial will follow the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens. A reception will be held following the burial at the Winder First Baptist Church, 625 Jefferson Hwy Winder GA 30680.
The family will be receiving friends on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the service hour at Carter Funeral Home.
