Ann Pierce Mcelhannon

Mrs. Ann Pierce McElhannon, age 82, of Decatur, Georgia, formerly of Winder passed away February 14, 2016. A native of Barrow County, Mrs. McElhannon was a daughter of the late Ernest and Mamie Kesler Pierce. She was preceded by her husband, Walter S. McElhannon, Sr., on September 23, 2009. Mrs. McElhannon was a member of The Winder First United Methodist Church and had served as an operating room nurse at Winder-Barrow Hospital.

Surviving are, Children, Melissa McElhannon of Calhoun, Georgia, Tamara McElhannon of Atlanta, Georgia, Patricia Rabideau of Blue Ridge, Georgia, Walter S. "Mack" McElhannon, Jr. of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Ernest Pierce McElhannon of Lexington, Kentucky, Fourteen Grandchildren, One Great Grandchild and Sister, Deane Poole of Braselton, Georgia.

The Family will receive friends Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 5-7 P. M. at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 2:00 P. M. from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Winder, Georgia.
