Mr. Alexander "Al" Butler, age 89, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
Mr. Butler was of the Baptist faith. He served the United States faithfully in the Air Force and retired as a supervisor with United Pump and Controls of Norcross. Al was also an avid golf and pool player.
Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Butler and Martha Ray Butler.
Mr. Butler is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Ruth McDonald Butler of Winder; and son, Steve (Tiffany) Butler of Birmingham, Alabama.
A graveside service with Air Force honors will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 30, 2024 at North Atlanta Memorial Park, Dunwoody, with Rev. David Cook officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Carter Funeral Home.
