S Agnes "Miss Agnes" Lovin Wells

Mrs. Agnes Lovin "Miss Agnes" Wells, age 98, of Winder, Georgia passed away July 17, 2016. Miss Agnes was born March 30, 1918 in Carl, Georgia to the late Joe Bartow and Mary Head Lovin. She was preceded by Her Husband, Lawrence Wells on October 3, 2002. At the time of her death, Miss Agnes was the oldest living member of The First Baptist Church of Carl. Miss Agnes and Lawrence Wells were married in 1951 at the home of Rev. Claud Healan, Sr. Her Mother, Mary Lovin founded the W. M. U. at the First Baptist Church of Carl. Mrs. Wells Grandfather, Rev. J. C. Head preached at Carl Baptist Church. She attended the University of Georgia and was a graduate of Oglethorpe University with a B. S. in education. Mrs. Lovin taught Elementary and High School Education in both Gwinnett and Barrow Counties for forty-three years.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P. M., Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from the First Baptist Church of Carl with Pastor Tom Ham and Mr. Bill Banks officiating. Interment will be in The Carl First Baptist Church Cemetery. The Family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30-2:00 P. M. at the Church.

Surviving are Niece and Husband, Charlotte & Jess Brown, Caregivers, Irene Mayweather, Joan Stephens and Teresa Lee, several Nieces and Nephews
